What is the Power Hub & Ultra Hub Series?

The Power Hub & Ultra Hub Series is a family of CPE connectivity devices built upon a unified design language system that serves as the “Design DNA.”

This framework defines a rigorous set of principles that govern the form, materials, and detailing, ensuring a cohesive brand identity even as the portfolio continues to evolve and scale.

The approach also enables products to be engineered and manufactured by multiple partners across different supply chains without compromising the visual consistency.

Industrial Design Story

While the Power Hub & Ultra Hub Series presents as a singular, cohesive project, it was actually developed across multiple strategic engagements spanning several years. This required managing a complex landscape of shifting engineering teams and manufacturing partners. Our role was to provide the consistent design leadership necessary to ensure that the original vision remained intact throughout.

The staggered device rollout meant a forward-looking design language system was required from the onset—one that could support future flexibility across multiple product variations, including different sizes, proportions, orientations, and connectivity technologies such as Cable, Fibre, and DSL. This approach ensured every addition to the portfolio clearly belonged to the same family.

The visual styling and CMF (Color, Material, Finish) used in the design language builds on a desire for a “recess identity” that is sensitive to a broad range of home environments without compromising the technical performance.

Finally, beyond design, the project placed a heavy emphasis on sustainability: the Power & Ultra Hub products are made from 95% recycled plastic and shipped in plastic-free packaging made from recycled and recyclable paper.
